Personal Training FAQs

Q: How can I get started with Achieve Wellness programs?

A: We encourage you to set up a time to meet with one of our trainers so they can help determine your goals to establish the best program for you.

Q: Why is personal training not covered by insurance?

A: Insurance doesn’t cover training the same way it covers therapy. Insurance companies lean towards treating injuries rather than expanding into accomplishing individual fitness and mobility goals.

Q: Can’t I just come to a class?

A: Yes, the classes are great, and the balance class is particularly popular. However, personal training gives you the opportunity for one-on-one coaching. The personal training exercises will be designed specifically for you, while the classes are designed to target the general population.

Q: How often do I have to meet with them?

A: Most of our clients prefer 2-3 times a week. However, we have some people who feel confident in their form and prefer to view the training more as an accountability tool. Those members often book once a week and sometimes every other week.

Q: Are they going to make me uncomfortable or push me too hard?

A: Our personal trainers are mindful of injuries and limitations. We will challenge you to work towards improvement, but we never instruct our members to “push through the pain.” Our goal is for you to leave feeling accomplished and able to function as best as possible in your everyday life.
