Tom Carson is an outstanding Physical Therapist and person!!! He treated my 86-year-old Mom like she was a life-long friend. He talked to her about his family–socialized with her while they did physical therapy. She didn’t even notice she was working because he is so personable. She also healed better with him than any other PT. Mom insists on Tom every time she needs therapy!!!!
After a reverse shoulder replacement (at the U of M) on my right shoulder, Cliff at Achieve Therapy was recommended to me by a few local veterans he had helped. We started out with routine physical therapy. After a short time it became evident that infection has set in on my shoulder. It then became impossible for Cliff to continue with my physical therapy. In the months to follow, and after 8 surgical debridements, it became evident that the only way to stop the spread of the injection was to remove the right shoulder joint. At this point I found myself back at Achieve Therapy, but this time with no shoulder. I remember Cliff’s interview asking me what my goals for recovery were. At this point the muscles in my shoulder were so weak from all those surgeries that I was unable to even lift the weight of my own hand. I remember telling Cliff that I’d like to be able to pick up a bale of hay and slap a sharp salute for my veteran’s activities. In the months to follow we were able to achieve those goals and much more. My hats off to Achieve Therapy for their willingness to work with Veterans and their care outside of the VA. Thank you Achieve Therapy!
James Zotto is great. Wouldn’t go to another physical therapist. My shoulders and arms were hurting until I couldn’t handle it anymore. He is so gentle massaging my arms and shoulders. He has given me exercises to do at home. If any exercise is too difficult for me, he finds a different way so I can do it. I highly recommend achieve therapy.
I won’t go anywhere else to work out. It’s a warm and friendly atmosphere. Beth is great . If you have questions about anything she’s right there to help you.
Wonderful, courteous staff. Tom did a great job of explaining what caused my wrist pain, the treatments and exercises he gave were also described in depth and understandable.
When it got to a point where surgery had to be done he wasnt afraid to refer me on to a surgeon. I highly recommend Achieve and any of their p.t.s especially Tom.
I’ve had hip issues for years and could never figure out what was wrong. I met Tom at a networking event and told him what was going on and he suggested I come in for a free consultation. After that visit we started doing weekly session to address the issue before I looked into surgical options. It was concluded that surgery (At age 27) was the best option. Months later I had the surgery and was able to complete BFR (Blood Flow Restriction) sessions which greatly accelerated my recovery process. Which went from not being able to play hockey or golf for 6-9 Months to playing my first round of golf 3 months after surgery. Not only did Tom provide an excellent recovery schedule he also made himself available for questions and last minute issues. I recently pulled my groin which typically takes 6 weeks of recovery and after 3 weeks of PT with Tom I was able to get back to skating 4 times a week and able to snowboard. I’d highly recommend Tom and the team at Achieve for any and all physical ailments and will continue to use the team throughout the future.
